Skirts over dresses?

Here you have Diane Kruger and Carolina Kurkova rocking their skirt over a dress.

Hmmm, I must say I am reluctant, It's hard to work a skirt over a dress. 

From the two, I prefer Dianes combination. But don't mind the fact, she would look good even in a potato sack :D
